- Description: Urban forestry is vital in the face of rapid climate change and climate impact, together with increasing numbers of both humans and non-humans living in cities. For my PhD research at Newcastle University in the UK, I focus on exploring the socio-environmental justice dimension of urban forestry. I explore ways of fostering a sense of belonging in existing and new urban forests from an intersectional environmentalist perspective. With the Uforest network, I hope to exchange ideas and best practices to ensure urban forests are equitably accessible for all.
